Södra Cell announced that it will be increasing the price of its northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp in Europe to $1,220, effective 1 April 2021.
“The global NBSK market is very tight, and in Europe a robust demand is outpacing supply,” said Henrik Wettergren, VP Marketing and Sales, Södra Cell. “This announcement reflects the overall market sentiment.“
Södra Cell’s latest price announcement is a $260/tonne jump from the $960/tonne price it set for its NBSK pulp in Europe on Jan. 1, 2021.
On Oct. 1, 2020, Södra’s listed price for NBSK pulp in Europe was $880/tonne.
