Jointly organized by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products (CCCME) and the China Chemical Information Center (CNCIC), the Indonesia International Paper Chain Industry Exhibition (Paper Chain Indonesia) is about to launch grandly at the JIEXPO Exhibition Center in Jakarta, Indonesia, on November 2–4, 2023.
Belonging to the professional exhibition section of the BDM Green Material & Product Platform (referred to as BDM Platform), Paper Chain Indonesia has received strong support from the Indonesian Ministry of Industry, the Indonesian Pulp and Paper Association (APKI), the Indonesian Digital and Printing Association (KOPI), and the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia.
The exhibition attracted more than 100 paper industry exhibitors from five countries and regions, including China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Germany, and Turkey. It is the most professional and influential paper exhibition in Indonesia. The exhibition covers pulp and paper equipment, paper products and equipment, packaging products and equipment, paper chemicals, automatic intelligent equipment, paper machine accessories and equipment, and various paper product manufacturers. Show Organizers have invited the leading global paper chain suppliers such as Leizhan, Chenzhong, Light Machinery, Chengming, Fengxin, Tongcheng, Ping’an, Mingyuan, VANOV, Lotzer & Mühlenbruch GmbH, and the APKI Paper Mill delegation to participate in the grand event.
The demand growth and rapid development of the Indonesian paper industry have attracted a lot of investment and trade attention. During the exhibition, multiple themed forums will be held, including the 2023 China-Indonesia International Paper Industry Forum, the 2022 APKI Annual Conference, etc.
Indonesia’s Pulp and Paper Industry (IPPI) comprises 112 industries with a total capacity of 11.45 million tons of pulp and 20.65 million tons of paper. It plays a significant role in contributing to the country’s economy. In 2022, the IPPI’s contribution to the GDP was 3.6%, generating foreign exchange earnings of USD 8.4 billion. This consisted of USD 3.69 billion from pulp exports and USD 4.8 billion from paper exports. The industry provided direct employment to 80,423 individuals and indirectly supported 1.1 million jobs. The IPPI holds the 1st rank for paper and pulp production in the ASEAN region, ranks 3rd for paper and 2nd for pulp production in Asia, and also holds the 5th position for paper and 7th position for pulp production in the world in terms of consumption and production.
The BDM platform includes eight major sections, including professional exhibitions, themed seminars, research and consulting, group standards, online sharing, industry awards, resource matching, and media promotion, providing a one-stop service system for consulting, technology, trade, and communication in the industry. The Paper Chain series exhibition and concurrent forum are one of the most important activities of the BDM platform.
